As with any nursing career, all nursing students must complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or receive their Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. Upon graduation, all aspiring nurses must pass their N-CLEX exam to receive their nursing license. This will open up an entire world of opportunities to work in top-ranked hospitals and specialty clinics while you travel the country as a high paid travel nurse.
Nurses who want to expand their career into the exciting world of travel nursing need to obtain a license for the state in which they want to work.
If you have obtained your license in your home state, which is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, you will be able to travel and work in other NLC states. If your original nursing license is not a part of the nurse licensure compact, you will be required to get an additional state license.

After completing all necessary travel nursing requirements and accepting an assignment, a travel nurse will prepare to travel and/or move to their new city/state. Nurses on assignment will enjoy the freedom to explore their new city, and in many cases, work any additional over time to earn more. On top of experiencing a new work environment, a travel nurse can opt-in to take free continuing education courses provided by the team at American Mobile.
