All About Medical InPerson Interpreter (IPI) Jobs

Working as an onsite interpreter in a healthcare setting provides professionals the opportunity to help others, enjoy flexibility and grow their careers. Medical interpreters enable patients to communicate with their healthcare providers.

Cristina P., Language Specialist with AMN Healthcare Language Services, has a deep background in medical interpretation across all modalities and is a Nationally Certified Medical Spanish Interpreter with CCHI (Commission Certification for Healthcare Interpreters).

“Interpreters are the voice for both the provider and the patient,” she explained. “For interpreters, there is room to be an advocate. You are serving and helping somebody who has limited English language skills. You are also the voice and the ears for the provider.”
